Endoscopic submucosal dissection
What is endoscopic submucosal dissection?
Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is a technique that allows polyps and early tumors to be completely removed from any location in the digestive tract, in one piece and without surgical incisions.
It takes advantage of the layered arrangement of the digestive tract, to create a protective cushion in the submucosa and with special scalpels that are handled through the endoscope, the lesions are resected in a selective and precise way.
In this way, more aggressive surgical interventions are avoided and recovery is very fast.
Pioneers in endoscopic submucosal dissection
At Endos Advanced we are committed to this procedure of which we are pioneers in our country. In addition to doing it on a regular basis, we are a national and international teaching center and we participate in various international studies on DSE.
